Polygon Gas Fees Tracker
Estimate your Polygon transaction cost — typically a fraction of a rupee, even for complex smart contract calls.
Why Polygon is so much cheaper than Ethereum L1
Polygon uses its own proof-of-stake consensus layer, batching and settling activity separately from Ethereum mainnet, which lets it process transactions at a small fraction of L1 cost while remaining fully EVM-compatible — the same smart contracts, wallets, and tools that work on Ethereum work on Polygon with no code changes. Gas is priced in POL (formerly MATIC), and even during elevated network activity, fees rarely exceed a few rupees.
Polygon vs Ethereum L1 for the same swap
| Network | Typical DEX Swap Cost |
|---|---|
| Ethereum L1 | ₹150 – ₹1,500+ |
| Polygon | ₹0.05 – ₹2 |
